Brenda Parent

Brenda Amond Parent, age 71, resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 55 & ½ years, Ervin Parent; daughter, Libby Ayo and husband Kenny; son, Paul Parent; granddaughter, Felicia Ayo; brothers, Danny Amond and wife Peggy, and Dickie Amond and wife Ester; sister, Pat Saucier and husband Randy; sisters-in-law, Thelma Amond, Mimi Wood and husband Jim, and Lura Sharp; brothers-in-law, C.J., Jr, Ellis Parent and wife Gail, Edward Parent and wife Maryann, and Kerry Parent and wife Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughters, Dana and Rhonda Parent; parents, Alex and Alice Amond; brother, A.J. Amond, Jr.; sister, Caroline Comeaux; father and mother-in-law, Clay Parent, Sr. and wife Elouise; sister-in-law, Shirley Babin; and brothers-in-law, Ernest, Earl, and Perry Parent.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Monday, September 21, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway from 10:00 AM until the time of services.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Brent Duplessis.

Pallbearers will include Kenny Ayo, Faron Babin, Kerry Parent, Randy Saucier, David Amond, and Rodney Comeaux.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
