A special-education coordinator for Ascension Parish and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at her home. She was 57. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, was on Sunday, Jan. 6, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel on Monday, Jan. 7, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her mother, Evon Wise, of Baton Rouge; a son, Matthew Robert Wise, of Baton Rouge; a sister, Betsy Wagner, of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Robert S. Wise III and William E. Wise, both of Baton Rouge; a grandchild, Bailey Alexandra Wise; and two nephews, James Lucas Wise and Robert S. Wise IV. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert S. Wise Jr. She received bachelor of arts and master's degrees in education and was a Ph.D. candidate at the University of New Orleans.
