Born in Jonesboro and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, she went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at her home with her loving family by her side. She leaves behind her loving husband who was not only her caregiver but also her best friend and traveling companion, Arthur Lamm; three daughters, Janice and husband T.W. Parish, Susan M. Hargis and Kay and husband George Buster Brown; son, John C. and wife Monique Smith; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Enmon; three brothers, Lehman, Malcolm and Orion G. Watts Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orion and Ethel Watts; first husband, Kenneth Smith; and a brother, Valton Watts. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 29, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Merlin Liverman. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
