Bonita Carlile

Followed her husband and went home to be with her Heavenly Father July 5, 2013. She was 62, born in Gary, Indiana. Her mother was Odessa Gwendolyn Burke and her father was Bernard Henry Burke. She graduated from Glen Oaks High school in 1969 and attended LSU. Bonita was an executive assistant with various banks such as Chase and Stanford Trust. While working she met many friends, all of whom cherished Bonita dearly. Although she was diagnosed with class IV glioblastoma multiform brain cancer in March 2013, she battled hard and was able to see her first grandchild born in May 2013. She was extremely loved mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her son, Alex Carlile daughterinlaw, April Carlile grandson, Landon Michael David Carlile sisters, Maralynn Graham and Carol McRight Norman lifelong friend, Beverly Mattocks and several nieces and nephews. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 5 pm 8 pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 12 noon until funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
