Bobby Swaggerty, Sr.

Mr. Bobby Ray Swaggerty, Sr., age 69, passed away peacefully in is home with his daughters by his side on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents (Leonard and Beatrice), brother (Marlin) and son (Bobby Jr.).

He is survived by his three daughters (Lisa, Bridgett and Kathy), siblings (Janice, Gerald, Jimmy, Lou, Liz, Rena and Loretta), grandchildren (Jasmine, Storm, Justin, Paige, Katie, Chrislyn and Charlie), great grandchildren (Neveah, VaeLyn and Landan), numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was born in Covington, Louisiana on October 24, 1947. He spent the majority of his adult life in the Baton Rouge and Denham Springs areas but most recently lived near his children in Mobile, AL. Bobby was a US Army veteran and retired paint and auto body technician. He loved the beach, the great outdoors and animals. He had a soft-spot for pit bull dogs.

Memorial services will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will be on Saturday January 28, 2017 from 12pm to 2pm with service to follow at 2pm in the chapel. Please visit the website to view and sign the guestbook at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
