Bobby Sanders

Bobby Ray Sanders,
native of Zwolle, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the age of 77. He loved to fish and enjoyed LSU Tiger Sports. Bobby retired from the city of Baton Rouge, Dept. of Public Works after 31 years of service. He was also a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dot Sanders daughters, Tammy Ann Alexander, Barbara McDonald, and Beverly Irwin grandchildren, Jason, Maggie, Joshua, Jessica, Ryan, Jennifer, Lanice, Darrin, and Hillari 14 greatgrandchildren sisters, Pat Blanchard and Ann Strickland and brother, Billy Sanders. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Agnes Sanders brothers, Larry, Otis, and Fred Sanders and stepson, Glen Martin.

Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Visiting will resume at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 5354 Plank Road, on Monday, August 3, 2014 at 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, conducted by Reverend Marcel E. Okwara. Interment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
