Blanche Cambre

Blanche E. Kitty Cambre, native of Houma, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the age of 94. She is survived by her daughter and soninlaw, Jacinta JC and Buddy Pearce four sons and daughtersinlaw David and Susan Cambre, Glynn and Patsy Cambre, Lynn Cambre, and Gary and Mollie Cambre and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and greatgreat grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph D. Cambre Jr. parents, Lawrence and Loula Carlos two brothers, Avery Sonny and Henry Lynn Red Carlos and four sisters, Verna Pat Carlos, Stella Polly Champagne, Olive Dooley Terry, and Lula Lou LeGros. Kitty was a devout and longtime member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She was a devoted Army wife and homemaker who followed her husband to stations around the world while helping raise their five children. Kitty had a great sense of humor, never met a stranger and loved children. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 11:30 am until religious services at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be her four sons, David L., Lynn J., Gary J. and Glynn A. Sr. her soninlaw, Buddy Pearce and her grandson, Joseph Cambre. Honorary pallbearers include all of her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
