Blake Douglas Mehrhoff, 37, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away from natural causes on February 5, 2023.
Blake was born in Baton Rouge at the old Woman’s Hospital and grew up in Metairie, LA. He attended St. Catherine of Sienna elementary school, followed by Brother Martin High School before ultimately graduating from Ridgewood Preparatory School in Metairie. He served six years in the United States Air Force as a firefighter at Scott AFB in Illinois and was honorably discharged. He volunteered at Trinity Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge.
As a youngster at Metairie Playground, he played league basketball as point guard and would regularly score so many points he would be forced to sit out the rest of the game by a point limit for players. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and the beach in Destin, Florida. He went to see his favorite band, 311, in many concerts around the country.
Blake is survived by his older brother, Brandon Lee Mehrhoff and his parents, Leander and Julie Mehrhoff.
He is preceded in death by his fraternal grandparent, Leander Mehrhoff and his maternal grandparents, Guy and Joann Higginbotham.
