Blaise Joseph Salario

Blaise Joseph Salario, a resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 88. He was a graduate of Catholic High School. He retired as a Manager with the LA Department of Transportation and Development with 39 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs, LA. 

Blaise dearly loved his family and put everyone else before himself. He was deeply devoted to his Catholic faith and served on RCIA committees for many years in his local church parish. He also enjoyed gardening and sharing his fruits and vegetables with others. Blaise was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Josephine Piazza Salario; son, Michael Blaise Salario; five sisters; and one brother.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Gwendolyn LaCour Salario; children, Susan Salario Pellegrin (Glynn), and Richard Louis Salario (Kelly); daughter-in-law, Mary Russo Salario; grandchildren, Brittany Wax Saale (Steven); James Salario (Breanna); Ashley Salario, and Amanda Salario; great-grandchildren, Ethan Saale, Parker Saale, Jackson Salario, and Billie Salario; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place following the service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
