Pete Osborne, native of Jefferson County, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Pete proudly served his country in the Marine Reserves. He was a hard worker who retired in the Department of Agriculture as a master painter and sheet rock finisher. He is survived by his brother, Ed Osborne two nieces, Eva Pierce and husband Tommy and LaResa Teekel and husband Larry two nephews, Clint Osborne and wife Miranda and Mike Gill and wife Misty two great nieces, Eva Collette Pierce and Stormy Gill eight great nephews, TJ Pierce, Cody Teekel, Nick Rains, Garrett Osborne, Dylan Gill, Tyler Malancon, Bishop Teekel and Luke Osborne his stepdaughter, Peggy Rushing stepson, Murray Rushing and wife Pam stepgrandchildren, Hannah Williams, Stanton Rushing, Karli Rushing and Keifer Rushing and twin stepgreat grandchildren, Adalyn and Ayden Scott. Preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Emma Osborne wife, Barbara Osborne brother, Gary Osborne greatgrandchild, Sophia Grace Scott and sisterinlaw, Wanda Osborne. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm and will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 9 am until funeral service at 11:30 am.
