Billy Ray Roberts

Billy Ray Roberts, age 68, passed away at OLOL on March 24, 2015, surrounded by family and friends.

He was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, a retired carpenter from Waskey Bridge, Inc., a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 9016.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carol Schittone Roberts; mother-in-law, Marie Schittone; sister-in-law, Janet Schittone; grandchildren, Kori, Ashley, Josh and Zachary; brothers, Earl Roberts and wife Debra, Danny Roberts and Rickey Roberts; sisters, Shirley Meyers and Josephine Knippers; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde B. and Willie Mae Roberts; son, Chad Roberts; daughter, Sherri Hall; brothers, James Roberts and Milton Roberts; father-in-law, Frank Schittone.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Friday, March 27, 2015, at St. Louis King of France, 2121 N. Sherwood Forest Dr., Baton Rouge, LA, from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at St. Louis King of France. Officiant will be Fr. Jack Nutter.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
