alignjustifyA resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City, while visiting her grandchildren. She was 75 and a native of Plain Dealing. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home chapel, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Deacon James Wax. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband, Francis M. Roberts; daughter, Michelle Manuel and fianc Keith Williams, Denham Springs; son, Geoffrey Roberts and wife Kerry, of Edmond, Okla.; three sisters, Ruth Tuminello, Sidney Hancock and husband Phillip, and Pauline Parker, all of Shreveport; four grandchildren, Amanda Manuel and Jason Manuel, both of Baton Rouge, Danielle Roberts and Emily Roberts, both of Edmond; and special friend, Jeanette Blanchard and husband Sidney, Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her parents, Press and Gladys Nix; two brothers, Earl and Ray Nix; and two sisters, May Hayes and Martha Anderson. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
