Beverly A. Tassin Johnson, age 87, a native of New Orleans and resident of Prairieville, passed away on June 21, 2018.
Beverly was primarily a wife and gracious homemaker for her beloved husband of 63 years, Johnny, and loving mother to her son Greg. They traveled the world while residing in Guam and France, as well as many places in the United States; Los Angeles, Colorado, Houston, Louisville and Pass Christian on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She attended McMain School in New Orleans and graduated from Kenner High School. Together with her husband, they were always cordial hosts to family and friends over the years. There are many cherished pets happily greeting her at the Rainbow Bridge, as she was a devoted lover of cats and dogs.
Beverly is survived by husband John W. Johnson, son Gregory and spouse Debbie, sisters Jean Walker, Nancy Driggers, Elaine Tassin and two grandchildren, Andrew and Amanda Johnson. Also survived by loving nephews Robert, Richard and Brandon, and nieces Virginia, Phyllis, Susan, Nina and Nicole
She is preceded in death by her father, Maurice J. Tassin and mother Florence L. Root Tassin.
A private Christian memorial service will be held for the family in July.
