On August 30, 2020 Beverly Joan Harper entered into eternal rest at the age of 84. She was born on in Ponchatoula, LA., and a long time resident of Baton Rouge.
Beverly was a beloved preschool teacher for many years at Broadmoor Methodist, University Presbyterian and Woodlawn Baptist.
She is survived by children Diane Saltzman David (Pete), and Kenny Saltzman (Evelyn), her grandchildren Dawn Sanders Freret (Chris), Shane Sanders, Angie Sanders Frank (Travis), Jessica Sanders Dean (Justin), Misty Saltzman James (Spencer), Dustin Saltzman, Suzanne David Ducote (Kevin), Tina David Vince (Ray), Dena David Toncrey (Shane), Johnny David (Jennifer), 25 great grandchildren and sister, Carol Lanier (Steve) and niece, Stephanie Lanier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Vivian Harper; her brother, Earl and the father of her two children, Merlin Saltzman.
Graveside service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
Special thanks to the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living, Siegen, and Hospice of Baton Rouge for their loving care during Beverly’s long battle with Alzheimer’s.
