Beverly Guillot

Bev was called to his heavenly home on May 18, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 87 years old, a native of Plaquemine and a resident of Baton Rouge. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Dow Chemical Company as a Quality Control Supervisor with 34 years of service. After his retirement, he enjoyed playing golf and traveling with family and friends. Bev became a world traveler with his wife, Monica, having visited many European countries. They particularly enjoyed short trips throughout Louisiana and surrounding states. He was very active in the Masonic Fraternity, having served as Master of his Masonic Lodge in 1975 and serving as the Grand Master of Masons of Louisiana in 2011. He was a perpetual member of Fairfields Lodge #425 and Trinity Union Lodge #372. Bev was a perpetual member of the Baton Rouge Scottish Rite, serving as Venerable Master in 1999 and 2005, where he received the honor of 33rd Degree. He was a Past Grand Commander of Knights Templar of Louisiana, having served in this office during 2007 and received the College of Louisiana in 2016 where he received the Order of the Purple Cross.

Bev is survived by his daughter, Stacie George; son, Gregg M. Guillot and wife, Carrie; grandchildren, Anthony Streva, Jr., Brittany Angelle and husband Jeramie, Brooke Finnegan and husband Colin, Chandler Streva and girlfriend Danielle Marfe; great-grandchildren, Lane and Remi Angelle and his dear sister, Rosalie Goulas.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Monica Guillot; his parents, Joseph Albert Guillot and Hazel Rivet Guillot; brothers, Leroy Joseph Guillot, Sr. and Joseph A. Guillot, Jr.; and sister, Rose Marie Essey.

The family requests visiting hours be observed on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with Masonic Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM until services at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
