Bettye Mitchell

A homemaker and a resident of French Settlement, she died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 73 and a native of Chattanooga, Tenn. Visiting at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Monday, Jan. 10, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Vic Messina. She is survived by daughters and sonsinlaw, Leslie and Benny Yander, Lauren and David Fabre, Natalie and Michael Glover, and MarSue and Dolph Parro son and daughterinlaw, John Patrick III and Dana Mitchell two sisters, Tena Robinson and Annette Price and 11 grandchildren, Renee and Hunter Mitchell, Jamie, Layne and Kyle Yander, Farin and Lindsey Fabre, Carly and Jordan Patterson and Eric and Peyton Parro. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Patrick Mitchell Jr. father and mother, Herbert and Wilene Harrison and sister, Donna Yoakum. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Special thanks to the physicians and staff at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, especially the SICU And MICU departments.
