Bettye Jones

Bettye Davis Jones, age 72, a resident of Baton Rouge, La, passed away on October 15, 2018

Bettye graduated from Broadmoore High 1963 and later attended Southeastern Louisiana University. She was a lifelong member of Parkview Baptist church.  Bettye was beautiful, kind and loved her family dearly with a heart full of compassion and love for God.  She enjoyed being with her friends, playing cards, Facebook and eating out.

Bettye is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard Alton Jones; sons, Richard Daron Jones, Chad Brian Jones wife Jennifer; daughter, Jill Jones Huff husband Mark Allen; grandchildren, Colin Jones, Jack Jones, Joseph Jacques Stein, III, Madalan Jones, William Jones, Savannah Grace Huff, Emilie Jones, Preston Huff and Eli Jones; sister, Deborah Hoover husband Cary; Mike Davis wife Tina and Ken Davis wife Amy; step-brothers, Dan Hill and Don Hill.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose V. Hill and Larry Davis; brother, William Davis.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume Friday, October 19, 2018 12:00 pm until service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
