Betty Cotten Watkins, age 79, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on December 5, 2016.
Betty was an amazing homemaker. She truly enjoyed taking care of her family. Everyone loved her home cooking and sweet smile. She loved to host all of her family and friends and they will dearly miss her.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Chena Messer; her sons, Myron Cotten and his wife, Sybil, and Greg Cotten and his wife Bobbie; her nine grandchildren, Chadler Messer, Shay Cotten, Schuyler Cotten, Preston Cotten, Dakotah Cotten, Gregory Cotten, Madeline Cotten, Garrett Cotten, and Canyon Cotten; her great-granddaughter, Kennedy Ann Cotten; her sister, Paulette Jones and husband, James; her two brothers, Jerry Lee and wife, Diana, and Roger Lee and wife, Deborah: her long-time friend, Monroe Foster; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Grace Lee; her first husband, Arnell Cotten; her second husband, Hack Watkins; and her son, Shawn O. Cotten.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM. Officiants will be Rev. Jerry Sullivan and Jeffrey Lee.
