Betty Shivers

Betty Jane Shivers Jane, 80, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Jane retired as a reporting clerk from the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John R. Shivers daughters, Robynn Schifano and husband Angelo, and Rhonda SmithHunt and husband Brian son, Randy Shivers and wife Diana seven grandchildren, Neal Wilson and wife Dara, Jamey Felton and husband Chris, Jonathan Shivers and wife Martha, Randi Shivers Goddard and husband Justin, Shane Shivers, Ryann Schifano and Toni Leigh Smith and greatgrandchildren, Noah, Aubrey, Brayden, Ava, CJ, Jordan and Micah. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Bruns, Sr. and Myrtle Wolverton sister, Metta Lucille Parr and brother, Robert E. Bruns, III.

Visiting will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 9:00 am until service at 11:00 am, conducted by Father Frank Uter. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Ryann Schifano, Shane Shivers, Neal Wilson, Chris Felton, Patrick Blackwell and Rick Gremillion.
