Betty Lou, 70, a resident of Denham Springs passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 after a courageous 10 month battle with pancreatic cancer. A native of Foxworth, Mississippi and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, she was a 1958 graduate of Istrouma High School and retiree of Chrysler Credit. Betty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Leonard Pal LeBlanc, children, Roxanne and Charles Frye, Leonard and Elise LeBlanc, Donna and Michael Ashmore, and Bryan and Elizabeth LeBlanc, grandchildren, Carrie LeBlanc, Marisa Frye, Benjamin LeBlanc, Michele Ashmore, Kimberly Ashmore, Cody LeBlanc, Garrett LeBlanc, Amber LeBlanc and Megan LeBlanc, stepgrandchildren, Bryan and Andrew Frye, stepgreat grandchildren, Taylor and Savannah Frye, brother Jerry Brister, and sister JoAnn Wall. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donnie and Loyce Mae Brister. Visitation at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge from 5:00pm 10:00pm on Friday, January 14, 2011. Visitation resumes on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, Baton Rouge at 9:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am conducted by Father Frank Uter. Burial immediately following at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be sons, grandsons, sonsinlaw, and honorary pallbearers, Jerry Brister, Sam Watson and Dennie Wall. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the love and support shown by family, friends, Father Frank Uter, Michele Giarrusso, Dr. Joseph Albergamo, and the Hospice of Baton Rouge staff.
