Betty Tyler Alsbrooks DeWitt, age 84, a native of Pinson, AL and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on March 5, 2017.
Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a former member of The Krewe of Romany. She was known for her artistic eye and poised attitude. Betty enjoyed gardening and always kept a beautiful home. She was a beautiful and loving, mother and grandmother who loved traveling the world.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Katharine (Kathy) Williams and husband Phillip; her son, Alan Wayne Edgens; her brother, Billy S. Tyler; her grandchildren, Laura Williams Metcalf and husband Jay, Bronwyn Edgens, and Margeaux Edgens; and her great grandchildren, Mia Kuehne, Jett Kuehne, and Kason Kuehne.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph B. Tyler and Ruth Adell Carroll; her husbands, Charles W. Alsbrooks, Sr. and Everett Eugene DeWitt; a grandchild, Amber Adaire Edgens; and a brother, Joe B. Tyler.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 8:30am until funeral service at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Officiant will be Pastor David Buss.
