Betty Clemett

Betty Stephens Clemett, age 81, who was a native of Columbia, SC, and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on June 22, 2015.

Betty was an administrative assistant and retired from the United States Department of Interior. She was also an avid reader, gardener, and gourmet cook.

She is survived by her children, Robert, Becky, & Cynthia Stephens, and Ramona Notinger & husband Steven Zuhoski; grandchildren, Katherine Higginbotham, Michael & Melanie Notinger, Justin & Jessica McCullough, Jason Hood & wife Nina, Robert Benson, Marcus & James Storey, and Jacob, Jonathon, & Jesse McCullough; great-grandchildren, Audrey & Aiden Hood, and Jack & Maeve Higginbotham; and sister, Marlene Cockerham.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Major James Peter Clemett of the United States Army; her parents, Robert & Ruth Neely; and brother, Bobby Neely.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A second visitation will take place on Friday. June 26, 2015 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of services.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will include Jason Hood, Eddie & Robert Benson, Marcus & James Storey, and Steven Zuhoski.

Interment will take place at Port Hudson National Cemetery, 20978 Port Hickey Rd, Zachary, LA 70791.
