Bettie Sturgeon

Bettie Lou Sturgeon, born November 12, 1935, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on November 12, 2017.

Bettie was married for sixty-three years to Donald Claude Sturgeon. They first met at Odessa Senior High School in Odessa, Texas. Then completed their G.E.D. at East Ascension Sr. High in Gonzales LA. Both attended classes at L.S.U. in Baton Rouge. Bettie and Donald shared in a rich and active life. She and her High school sweetheart were entrepreneurs' in starting Professional Car Care. The family owned business has operated for over thirty year.

Bettie is survived by Donald Claude Sturgeon; four children, Geneva McGlasson and husband Russ, Claude Rene Sturgeon and wife Andrea, Vandell Sturgeon and wife Cindy, Vernon G. Sturgeon and wife Carla; two sisters, Jeanie Isbell and Vivian Bean; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will take place in the Mausoleum at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2:00pm.

The family of Bettie Sturgeon would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Richards and the nurses at Our Lady of the Lake hospital, Jefferson Baptist Church, Caroline Henderson, and to Bridgeway Hospice nursing staff.
