Born on July 25, 1932 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Passed away on November 23, 2022 in Plaquemine, Louisiana.
Survived by three children, Robert Hebert, Jr. (Cheryl), Terryl Hebert, and Brenda Case (Kaylon) She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Sandra Hebert and son-in-law Keith Meyer; 13 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents Steve O. Richardson and Leona Coates Richardson; her husband of 35 years Samuel V. Gardner; two sisters Shirley Johnson and Jean Waits; three brothers Bill Cooper, Clarence Richardson and Steve Richardson, Jr. Bess was also preceded in death by two children, Keneth Charles Hebert and Deidra Ann Meyer, and two grandchildren “Scooter” and Monica Meyer.

Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Monday, November 28th, from 10:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM conducted by Pastor Gray Pearson.
