A retired licensed beautician, she died at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical CenterBluebonnet. She was 86 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, March 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. T.W. Terrell. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her two daughters and sonsinlaw, Verona L. and Marlyn Langford and Aimee L. and Jeffrey Horner son, Eugene E. Leigh two sisters, Dorothy Nell Nellie Oliphant and Nelda Brumfield eight grandchildren, Leigh Ford, Celeste Ford, Christianne F. Knight, Jenese Leigh, Jonathan Leigh, Jason Leigh, Jacquelynn Leigh and Mindee Medlock and several greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, E. Roy Leigh parents, Eddie and Veroner Bayham daughter, Diane Leigh Ford and two brothers, Alfred Norman Peachy Bayham and James Oris Freddie Bayham. She was a member of Istrouma Baptist Church and former member of Lanier Baptist Church.
