Bernice Riche

Bernice B. Riche, age 95, a native of Cottonport, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on January 11, 2018.

Bernice married the love of her life, Leslie Jerome Riche in 1942. She moved to Baton Rouge from Chalmette, LA following Katrina. Bernice was a proficient seamstress and homemaker. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her three sisters, Darnella Lena, Wilma "Dee" Capone, and JoAnn Smith Lemoine; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she cared for and loved.

Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Jerome Riche; her parents, Valley Emile and Victoria Bowman, Sr.; a sister, Murdis Bowman; and her brother, Valley Emile Bowman, Jr.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:30am until services at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
