Bernice Baillie

"The Lord is my Shepherd. There is nothing I shall want"

Bernice Johnson Baillie, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away February 22, 2017, at the age of 86.

Bernice is survived by her two sons, Dr. Jeffrey Arnold Baillie of Monroe, LA, Dale Baillie and wife Rita Baillie of Baton Rouge, LA; her grandchildren, Austin Dale Baillie of Tyler, TX, and Sarah Elizabeth Baillie of Baton Rouge, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. D.B. Baillie, Sr.; her parents, Genhard and Agnes Johnson; her sisters, Viola Cutler, Thelma Richards, and Jannie Tackett; her brothers, Dr. Merle Johnson, Harold Johnson, and Dr. Arnold Johnson.

Visitation will take place in the chapel at Williamsburg Senior Living Community, 5445 Government St, Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, February 25, 2017, from 10:00 am until a memorial service at 11:00 am. Father Mike Schatzle will officiate.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Williamsburg, where Bernice lived the last few years. They took care of "Miss Bernice" as if she was their own mother. We would also like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Carpenter House for the caring and compassionate manner in which they cared for her.
