Benjamin Tisdale, Iii

Benjamin "Ben" Cornwall Tisdale, III, 78, resident of Anchorage, Alaska, Newport, Oregon, River Ridge, LA and Baton Rouge, LA, passed peacefully to eternal life on Tuesday, January 13, 2015.

He played football for LSU in the 1950's and was the President/ CEO of MARTECH. Ben was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Veronica Dawn Barré Tisdale; daughter, Fara Tisdale Roe and husband Dennis; sons, Glenn Tisdale, and wife Trudy, Brad Tisdale, and Ted Tisdale and wife Vicky; and 16 grandchildren.

Ben is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jana Clare Tisdale; father, Ben C. Tisdale, II; mother, Bessie Tisdale; brother, Dennis Tisdale; sister, Joyce Tisdale Tregle; and great-grandson, Alex Tisdale.

Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visiting will resume at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70808 from 10:00 am until service time. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, conducted by Father Gerald Burns. Interment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
