A native of New Orleans and a retired employee of Ethyl Corp. in Houston, he died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 73 and an Army Reserve veteran. Visiting in the Common Room at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3552 Morning Glory Ave., on Friday, Jan 2, 2009, from 9:30 a.m. until memorial service in the sanctuary at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. David Kearly and the Rev. Tim Heflin. Inurnment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at 1 p.m. Friday. Survived by his wife, Peggy Boudinot Bourgeois; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Richard Ramos; son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin F. Jr. and Kim B. Bourgeois; two sisters, Mary and husband Isom Deshotel and Marion and husband the Rev. David Kearley; and four grandchildren, Benjamin III, Georgeanna, Henry and Caroline Bourgeois. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis S. Sr. and Jessie Mary Bourgeois; and two brothers, Louis S. III and Richard Bourgeois. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
