Barton Johnson

Barton Browning Johnson passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Barton was born October 14, 1963 in Orange, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Mary Crochet Johnson two daughters, Emily Grace and Anna Marie Johnson one son, Matthew Browning Johnson sister, Kelley Johnson Matkins and brothers, Fielding Johnson and Stuart Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Fielding Johnson. Barton was a 1981 graduate of Catholic High School and received his bachelors degree from LSU where he was a member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. He was employed by the Department of Health and Hospitals. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Cancer Society of Baton Rouge, and Hospice of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 5 pm until 8 pm and will resume on Wednesday, January 9 at St. Joseph Cathedral from 1 pm until Funeral Mass at 2 pm.
