Barbara Weber

Barbara Bobbie Weber passed away peacefully in the early morning hours Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, after a valiant battle with cancer. Bobbie was born in Springfield, Mass., in 1933 and was a resident of Baton Rouge for most of her life. She was member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, where she enjoyed her activities as a dedicated member of the choir. A passion for Bobbie was her work with the St. Vincent de Paul charities, where she spent a great deal of time serving meals to the less fortunate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bill Weber. She is survived by her four daughters and three sons, along with their spouses; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two sisters. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Dec. 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. until a religious service at 11 a.m., followed by a Christian burial. There will also be a recitation of the rosary at 10:30 a.m.
