Barbara Walker

Barbara West Walker, 81, of Hendersonville, NC, wife of the late Richard Dale Walker, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. Born June 14, 1937, in Denham Springs, LA, she was the daughter of the late Melville Bruce and Bida Sibley West.
Mrs. Walker was devoted to her family and home. She was an avid reader and lover of nature and art, especially the work of John James Audubon. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Walker Minnick and Terri Walker Clouatre and her husband Calvin; three granddaughters, Morgan Taylor Minnick, Kasey Walker Minnick, and Melinda Burakowski Weeks; and grandson, Calvin Joseph Clouatre, III. She is also survived by her sisters, Jerre West Strickland and Edna West Green and her husband Henry.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 9:00am until 10:00am. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am. Interment will follow. All services held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's honor may be made to the Audubon Society at Audubon.org.
