Barbara Ann Morgan, resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born in Ferriday, Louisiana on September 30, 1946 to Willard C. Carter and Melvia Thompson Carter. She was a graduate of Denham Springs High School and served as an Executive Administrative Assistant in the Secretary of State Office for the State of Louisiana, from which she retired. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and member of Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, music, macrame', crossword puzzles, and watching pro-football & baseball.
She is survived by her; children, Jeff Morgan and his wife, Elizabeth, Laurie Morgan Breaux and her fiancé, Timothy Dunbar, and Tonya Morgan; her eight grandchildren Ashley Morgan, Chase Dunbar, Mikki Matherne, Daimon Snead, Reagan Snead, Dylan Breaux, Kayla Fairbanks and Mia Morgan; three great grandchildren, Baelyn Fillip , Layla Arnaud and Lillian Matherne; and brothers, Will “Bubbie” Carter and his wife, Margaret, Gary Carter, and Randy Carter and his wife, Dee.
Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Clyde James Morgan, Jr.; her grandson, Trent Austin Morgan; her parents, Willard Carter and Melvia Lanoue; and sister, Jane Webb.
Pallbearers will be Daimon Snead, Reagan Snead, Dylan Breaux, Glenn Webb, Gary Carter, and Beau Dunbar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge, on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., celebrated by Pastor Lynn Rodrigue. A Visitation will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
