Barbara Gunther Loggie passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on November 29, 2015, at the age of 90.
"Bobbie" was born in Morristown, New Jersey, and lived most of her life in Wichita Falls, Texas. She and her husband relocated to Baton Rouge several years ago. For the past five years, Bobbie lived with her daughter and son-in-law. Bobbie was a very talented lady who enjoyed many creative outlets. She and her husband enjoyed growing and propagating orchids. They were active in the Orchid Society and won numerous awards for their plants. Other hobbies she enjoyed were making beautiful angels, Santas, and wreaths. For several years she created intricate Fabergé'-type jeweled eggs. Most recently, she enjoyed designing jewelry with her daughter and friends. Bobbie will be remembered as a beautiful, loving lady who was devoted to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert G. Loggie; her parents, Walter and Margaret Gunther; and brother, Walter Gunther.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lynn and husband John; son, Robin Loggie and wife Lora; granddaughter Erica Lynn and fiancé, Dale Broussard; granddaughter, Gretta Blankenship and husband Matt; and great-grandchildren Breanna and Hudson Blankenship.
The family would like to thank the staff of Clarity Hospice for their outstanding support.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
