Barbara "Bobbie" Gauthier

Barbara “Bobbie” Gauthier, age 76, a resident of Denham Springs, died peacefully at The Carpenter House on March 31, 2023. She doesn’t have to suffer anymore; she is now in Heaven.

She was born on May 10, 1946, in Independence, and raised in Folsom. She attended Istrouma High School. She retired from K-Mart and was a member of PARDS in Denham Springs for years.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 46 years and caretaker for 10 years, Jake Gauthier; daughters, Ashley Adams and fiancé Glen Carter, and Charlotte Androne; son, Phillip Berthelot; sisters, Linda Faye Rogers, and Jeanie Hudson; brother-in-law, Gene Gauthier; her Pomeranian, Cricket; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Phil Rogers “Paw Paw”; mother, Isabel Wactor; mother-in-law, who was like a mama to her, Marie Gauthier; father-in-law, Jake Gauthier, Sr.; baby sister, Debbie Coulter; and her Pomeranian, Coco.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 9:30 am until services at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will include Destin Adams, Gavin Adams, Mason Carter, Jacob Carter, Michael Roberson, and Glen Carter.
