Barbara Falcon

Born on March 4, 1939, in Brusly St. Martin, and died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at The Carpenter House. Heaven is a better place today. A loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, and friend, she leaves behind her beloved husband of 54 years, Albert J. Falcon, Jr. three daughters, Belinda Falcon, Lisa Falcon, and Tess Falcon five grandchildren, Megan Bloom, Erik Strehle, Alexander Strehle, Emily Falcon, and Tristan Smith three sisters, Ruby Bellina and husband Sam, Valerie Guillot and husband Vin, and Mona George brother, Fred Fernandez and wife Winnie and all of her loving and special friends, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and kept close to her heart. Waiting to greet her in heaven are her parents, Denise and Freddy Fernandez brothers, Hayward and Vince Fernandez brotherinlaw, Henry George granddaughters, Erika and Veronika Strehle and best friend, Beverly Alexander. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., celebrated by the Rev. Phil Spano. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Barbara never met a stranger. She fought a long battle and she has finally won. She is now resting comfortably in her Fathers arms, free of pain. She was a blessing to everyone she met and was blessed by everyone who touched her life. She will be truly missed. Rest in peace. The family would like to thank all who took care of her, especially St. Josephs Hospice, Sister Dulce, Dr. Militello, Dr. Hausmann, Dr. Balart, Dr. Waguespack, and the countless hospital workers who kept her smiling.
