Barbara Campbell

On December 8, 2018, our sweet Barbara Anderson Campbell gained her wings and became our newest heavenly angel. She is now reunited with the love of her life, Douglas Lane Campbell, who passed away on October 13, 2018. They were married 61 years and blessed with four children.

Awaiting her at the gates of heaven to welcome her was her parents, Clara and Russell Anderson and Douglas’s mother, Sara Bessette. She survived by her sister, Norma Callender. Those left to cherish her memories are her four children: Leslie Romaguera (husband, Dr. Michael Romaguera), Lane Campbell (wife, Trudy Campbell), Lynn Chesla (husband, Joe Chesla), and Lara Sevario. Her biggest joy came from her grandchildren, Lacy Keeler (husband, Jeff Keeler), Lindsay Harrison, Ryan Chesla, Michael Romaguera, Jenna Lefebvre (husband, Andrew Lefebvre), Lexi Sevario, Cade Campbell, and Chelsea Campbell; her great grand-children, Padraig O’Donnell, Pyper O’Donnell, Noa Harrison, Josey Keeler, Cruz Harrison, and Sloan Keeler. Not one was left unspoiled!

Whether you knew her as “Maw Maw” or “Sissy,” she had a special way of making you feel loved and appreciated. Her generosity, big heart, and willingness to give was her best gift from God. Mom was always excited about going visit each of her children and surprising them with her “special boost.” Mom was always thinking of others and showered them with love and compassion. Her generosity was overwhelming and she never let anyone in need down.

This last year was truly a blessing to mom as the Lord put a special person in her life, Irma Johnson (her “soul sister/side kick”). Together, they shared so many laughs, tears, and love. We are forever grateful for Irma (Alma) Johnson.

Barbara’s family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Sunrise Assistant Living, nurses, caregivers, and to the many aids for their loving care of our mother’s last year.
