Barbara Borkland

An employee of Encore Association for more than 25 years and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was a native of Chicago. Memorial visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, March 7, from 1 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. She is survived by special friend, Charles Papa Bud Drinkwater two daughters, Susan Hamilton and husband Michael, and Laura Andorf and husband Thomas a son, Michael Borkland a brother, Robert Schimel and Susan and three grandchildren, Michael Borkland, Nicole Andorf and John Andorf. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Schimel. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, quilting, gardening and crafts.
