Barbara Ann Mason Begnaud, 81, a resident of Baton Rouge, La. passed away (from pneumonia) peacefully at Baton Rouge General Hospital, with her family at her bedside, on Friday November 12, 2021.
She was born to the late Alton and Mary Mason of Opelousas, La. on May 30th, 1940. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Tina Mason Cormier (Joe) of Iowa, La. and Gwendolyn Mason Moss (Asa) of Lafayette, La., a son Dennis Begnaud and a daughter Lori Begnaud Parrish (Ron).
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Lee Begnaud from Opelousas, a daughter Michelle Begnaud (Lou Fillman) of St. Francisville, and granddaughters Jordyn Parrish and Carley Parrish Bissel (Luke), and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a homemaker and loved and cherished her family dearly. She loved traveling in the United States as well as many other countries in her younger years. Barbara has been a longtime member of St. George Catholic Church.
The family of Barbara wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Baton Rouge General Hospital on Bluebonnet for their exceptional care.
Visitation will be on Friday November 19th at St. George Catholic Church (7808 St. George Drive, Baton Rouge, La) at 10:00 am with services following at 11:00 am.
