Bang Phonevilay, a resident of Prairieville, LA, born on May 12, 1957, passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 66.
Bang was born in Savannakhet, Laos. She grew up and became a seamstress, owning her own business known as Kham Fashions, and was a member of the Baptist community. She always enjoyed gardening, taking her produce to the farmer’s market, traveling with her children, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Bang is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jack Phonevilay; children, Sarah Nang Koulaboud, Sourya Tho (Hai) Koulaboud, and Koraka Noy (Phuong) Koulaboud; sister, Khamban Keodouangsy; brothers, Khamphong and Eddie (Nalilath) Keodouangsy; grandchildren, Jazmine, Jordan, and Justice Mendoza, Colston, Daelan, Ellevian, and Floren Koulaboud, Kasem, Bree, and Olive Koulaboud; great-grandchild, Amauri Mendoza; best friends, Bernadette (Bunnie) Parker, Dao Anderson, A. Ruensukhon, Sue Sananikone, Toon McDaniel, and Gigi Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nan and Bounkhong Keodouangsy.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, June 10, 2023, beginning at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Sunday, June 11, 2023, beginning at 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Ken Brown.
