Ave Lee David Vining, 89, died on November 21, 2019 after a long battle of Alzheimer's. She was born on November 24,1929 in Oakdale, Louisiana. Known as "the leaf lady" for painting sceneries on leaves, Ave was a gifted artist. When not painting, Ave served as a talented seamstress having sewn many beautiful pieces for herself and family.
Her beloved husband, Woodzay "Woody" Vining, of 58 years kissed his bride farewell before she peacefully passed away. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Quibodeaux, sons and wives Dr. David Vining (Mary) and Col. Paul Vining, Ret. (Elaine) and daughter and husband Tammy Guilliams (Douglas); her brother John David and his wife Nadine; grandchildren Paul Quibodeaux (Opie), Amanda Vining, Birdie Leigh Vining, Savannah Sutton (Craig), Charlene Guilliams, Elisabeth Vining, Brandon Guilliams and Caroline Vining; Great grandchildren Gaige Quibodeaux and Sebastian Sutton.
She is reunited in Heaven by her parents, Agnes and John David, brother and wife Eldridge and Mary Hance, Sister and husband Victoria and 'JB' Bourque, and son-in-law Raymond Quibodeaux.
A graveside service will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 3:00 pm.
