Avalon Smith

July 28, 1930 — August 8, 2013

Avalon Ann Braud Smith, 83, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 1:45 P.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. A native of Prairieville, LA and a resident of Walker, LA. She is survived by her daughter, Paulette S. Marino and husband Lawrence two sons, Robert A. Smith and wife Valinda, and Clifford A. Smith and wife Ellen sister, Bobbie Gautreaux and husband Lionel four grandchildren, Lauren, Cara, Amanda and Tyler 2 stepgrandchildren, Amanda and Wade six greatgrandchildren, Bradley, Catherine, Damon, Coy, Aubrey and Kamryn and a furry little four legged friend named Sprockette. Preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Estelle Braud husband, Paul L. Smith sister, Audrey Braud and brothers, Edwin Hotsie Braud and Ralph Braud. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm and will resume at the funeral home on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 9 am until funeral service at 11 am conducted by the Rev. Mike Moroney. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will include, Tyler Smith, Jake Wheat, Elijah Kiger, Wade Barker, Marlon Braud and Craig Braud.
