Audrey Smith

Audrey Brignac Smith passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the age of 94.

Audrey was the most selfless, caring, loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

She is survived by her children, Ron Smith and wife Suzi, Gail Page and husband Jack, Susan Olivier and husband Donald, Stephen “Steve” Smith and wife Grace, and Ellen Dunn and husband Scott Murphy; grandchildren, Eric Cogswell (Allissa), Taylor Smith, David Smith, Blake Smith, Chad Usey (Darlene), Lisa Lapeyrouse (Kevin), Melissa Louque, Emily Altazin (Jason), Stephen Ryan Smith (Michelle), Audrey Denise Hutchinson (Knox), Kisha Dunn, and Angela Dunn; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E.D. Smith; parents, Val and Agnes Brignac; and 3 brothers, Gordon Brignac, Valmon Brignac, and Windom Brignac.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Audrey’s friend, Rachel Signater and to Kisha Dunn, loving granddaughter and devoted caregiver.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m.  Interment will follow on the grounds of Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
