Audrey Martin

Audrey Massett Martin “Honee”, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Our Lady of the Lake on February 13, 2023 at the age of 91. Audrey was born in New Orleans, she grew up in Monroe, Louisiana, and graduated in Natchez, Mississippi.

Audrey joined the Marine Corps when she was eighteen and she met her husband Charlie while working for the railroad. They fell in love, moved to Baton Rouge, and married to have 3 beautiful daughters. She enjoyed her dogs, shopping for birthdays, spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Honee loved to cook for any occasion, especially the holidays, her most popular recipes are her deviled eggs and potato salad. Honee was always a giving person, she always remembered a date, and never missed a birthday, graduation, or anniversary. Honee was loved by all who knew her, and will be deeply missed.

Honee was survived by her daughters Kelly Martin Schwartz, Mimi (Brian) Lambert, son-in-law Johnny Stablier, grandchildren Jonathan (Aimee) Stablier, Joseph (Stephenie) Stablier, Ashley (Chris) Duffy, Kristina (Tony) Evans, Jaclyn Stablier, Allyson (Matt) Smith, Madison, Jessie and Katie Schwartz and nine great grandchildren.

Audrey is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles D. Martin, and beautiful daughter, Charlyn Ann Stablier, and her older sister Dolores Ford.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, with a funeral service to follow in the Resthaven Chapel at 1:00PM
