A retired auto parts salesman, he died at 7:20 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 88, a native of Wallace and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, July 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Gerry Martin, celebrant. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Austerman and husband Wayne, San Antonio, and Linda Lambert and husband Tim, New Roads; son, Aubrey G. Jerry Hotard, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Rose Marie Barrilleaux, Dallas, and Lorraine Bradley, Folsom; six brothers, Lionel, Elmo, Percy, Clayton, Stephen and Daniel Hotard; four grandchildren, Angela Lopez, Nancy Lambert and Warrington and Stuart Austerman; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Esther Boudreaux Hotard; parents, Lionel and Elvina Hymel Hotard; and brother, Antoine Hotard.
