Ashley Guidroz

Ashley was a native of St. Landry Parish and a resident of Paireieville, La passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the age of 66. She was born on December 12, 1945 to John Ashley Borg and Joyce Deville Borg. Ashley was a retired nurse who gave up nursing to raise her children and enjoy her many grandchildren. She was an accomplished seamstress and would spend hours in her sewing room. She is survived by her loving husband Ken sons, Stephen Paul and wife Melodye of Richmond, Va, and Kiva and wife Candice of Denham Springs daughter, Kristy of Prairieville and Rob Smart, who was like a son and wife Summer of Denham Springs sister, Carolynne Borg of Head of Island brothers, Rick Borg and wife Pat of Baker and Mike Borg and wife Darlene of Houston. Also to keep her memory alive are 11 beautiful grandchildren, Mathew, Hannah, Josh and Audrey Guidroz, Grace, John Ashley, Charlie, and Beau Guidroz, and Chris, Emily and Lauren Rose Smart and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death and now reunited with her father and mother. Special thanks to Dr. Chris McCanless, staff of 5west of OLOL, and St. Joseph Hospice. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 6 pm to 8 pm and will resume on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 9 am until religious services at 11 am conducted by Rev. Johnny Green of Healing Place Church. Burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
