Arthur Ray Clement, age 77, a resident of Denham Springs Livingston parish, passed away surrounded by his family on July 27, 2017 at 9:11 pm at Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing located in the mid-city Baton Rouge General. Arthur was born the seventh of nine siblings, Vidrine, Alice, Juanita, Bettye, Halery, Shirley, Pat, and Wayne, at home on October 21, 1939 in Denham Springs, Louisiana to Lela Henderson Clement and Arthur Ray Clement. Arthur honorably served the U. S. Navy for four years, and at one time was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was a graduate of Denham Springs High School. He had two marriages, his first marriage to Ann Blanchard produced four children and five grandchildren and his second marriage to Mary Breaux produced one daughter and four grandchildren. He was an Industrial Electrician at Exxon Chemical for twenty one years. Upon retirement from Exxon he went to work as an Electrician and Instrument Technician for the City of Baton Rouge. Arthur is survived by his children, Thomas Clement and his wife, Linda Clement, Daniel Clement, Mark Clement, Jeanne Clement Silk and her husband, Thomas Silk and Christy Vicknair and her husband, Paul Vicknair; his siblings, Wayne Clement, Halery Clement, Juanita Leonard and Bettye Clement Whittle; and his grandchildren, Jordan Ernst, Sarah Silk, Miriam Silk, Josiah Clement, Haley Clement, Daniel Vicknair, Jeremy Vicknair and Lizzie Vicknair. He is preceded in death by his grandson, David Vicknair; his parents, Lela Henderson Clement and Arthur Ray Clement; and his siblings, Vidrine Clement, Alice Ogden, Shirley Miller and Pat Thompson. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge LA on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 11:00 am until services at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Following the burial, a repass held at Ralph and Kacoos for friends and family. Pallbearers will be Jordan Ernst, Josiah Clement, Thomas "Trey" Silk, Haley Clement, Miriam Silk, Jay Bonaventure and Josh Madsen. Honorary Pallbearers are Halery Clement, Wayne Clement and David Poirrier. Flowers are welcome and donations can be made to The Gideon's International, https://www2.gideons.org, in Arthur R. Clement Jr.'s name. The family of Arthur R.
