A native of Franklin and a resident of Baton Rouge, he was born March 11, 1945, to Arthur J. Boudreaux Jr. and Goldie Breaux Boudreaux. He passed away with his family at his side at home on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. Visitation at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16166 S. Harrells Ferry Road on Tuesday, March 1, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon, celebrated by the Rev. Miles Walsh. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, Baton Rouge. Survived by his mother, Goldie Breaux Boudreaux loving wife and best friend, Susan Freund Boudreaux a son, Arthur J. Jay Boudreaux IV and his wife, Sundy three stepchildren, Julie E. Andre, Preston F. Rockhold Jr. and Keith J. Rockhold two grandchildren, Hayden M. Boudreaux and Brogan M. Boudreaux and stepgrandchild, Trevor J. Andre. He graduated from Franklin High School and served in the National Guard. He received his undergraduate degree from LSU, followed by his juris doctorate from the LSU School of Law. He began his private practice of law in 1972, continuing for 39 years. He joined the Parish Attorneys Office in 1991 as an assistant city prosecutor, later becoming the first assistant city prosecutor and finally, appointed the city prosecutor in 2005. He participated in numerous community service programs, particularly enjoying his time spent in local schools as part of the Real Men Read program. He believed that your word was your bond and this is how he lived his life, personally and professionally. His greatest enjoyments were the times he spent with his wife, his child and grandchildren and the search for speckled trout and redfish along our coast, which he loved. He will be dearly missed by his family, especially by his wife, as he was the light of her life. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur J. Boudreaux Jr. Pallbearers will be Arthur J. Jay Boudreaux IV, Hayden M. Boudreaux, Preston F. Rockhold Jr., Keith J. Rockhold, Jeff Talley and Rick Lucas.
