Antonio Achacoso

Antonio S. Achacoso, a loving husband, father, grandfather, teacher, advisor, and mentor, passed away on March 2, 2016 at the age of 82.

"Dr. Tony", as he was known to his fellow faculty and beloved students at LSU, retired from the Department of Dairy Science as an Associate Professor in 2001 after 33 years of service. He touched and influenced many lives and was awarded an Honorary Lifetime Member of the LSU Dairy Science Club.

Antonio is survived by his wife, Erlinda, to whom he has been married for almost 56 years; sister, Florence, in Laguna, Philippines; and 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Joseph and Michelle, Pflugerville, Texas; Michael and Alison, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Kenneth and Ka Kay, Alameda, California; and 5 grandchildren: Kate, Waverley, Ethan, Sarah, and Jeanine.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Rd, Baton Rouge, LA from 9:30 AM until a 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will follow on the grounds of Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA.
