Anthony Kong Yin (Tony) Lee, age 78, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away from a heart attack on Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica on February 28, 1944 to parents George Yim Sang and Lucille Lee. He graduated from St. George's High School in 1962. He married Judith (nee Lyn) on April 16, 1967 and had three sons. The family migrated to Canada and then to the U.S. where he worked at Kaiser Aluminum and then established Tony Lee Auto Technicians, Inc. which he owned and managed with Judith for 36 years.
Tony was very technical. He was mechanically talented. He could fix anything. He was athletic and was goalie in Manning Cup Football in High School. He enjoyed soccer, basketball, polo, boating and R.V.ing.
He was devoted to family, a loving husband, unselfish, considerate, honest, honorable and had a great sense of humor.
He liked Chinese dishes and enjoyed classical, romantic and choral music.
He is survived by Judith, loving wife of almost 56 years, sons Gordon (Stephanie), Martin and Brandon; siblings: Dr. Thompson Lee (Elinor), Cecil (Ellen), Ronnie (Judy), Humphrey, Phyllis (William); sister-in-law, Joyce (Asow); grandchildren Zephyr, Cody and Saphyre and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tony is preceded in death by parents and brothers Eustace, Alfred (priest), sister Madgie (nun) and sister-in-law Leonie.
The Funeral Service will be at Resthaven, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, La. 70816. Visitation is 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m.
